Stopped in to Sheridan Family Restaurant. Courteous and friendly staff. Great food. We ordered a western omelette and scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, toast and coffee. I forgot to take the picture, before we dug in , but you'll get the idea.

Went for dinner. Hubs had roast chicken with Greek potatoes (boiled in stock, we think) and a Greek "side" salad, which was so huge that it really was a meal in itself. I had the "open chicken souvlaki" which I thought was going to be an open-face sandwich, but it was really an enormous Greek salad with chicken and then a side of pita. Food was excellent, service was speedy and very friendly and professional, but again, portions are GIGANTIC -- so if you have a smaller appetite, maybe ask their advice on what to order! Or expect to take home a doggy bag. We felt guilty leaving a lot of food behind but we could barely finish half of it.

Sheridan Family Restaurant is one of my favorite diners! I go to college up in Buffalo and during tax season, I came to this diner nearly every week after work. The service is the best out of any diner I have been to! I would always get my food within 10 minutes after ordering. The waitresses are very nice as well; I wish I got their names. The food is delicious and reasonably priced! I wish I could continue coming here, but I don't have a car and came here after work as it was within walking distance. However, I have continued to order from here on Grubhub every week and will do so for as long as I go to school in Buffalo! Highly recommend.

My wife and I have been there several times usually for breakfast. This review concerns a dinner experience. Seating was immediate, frankly I don't think that I have ever waited for a table. The waitress was there to take our drink order almost immediately. I have to admit that I am kind of a stickler when it comes to a good cuppa coffee. Usually, I will ask for coffee and leave it lay there because it's either too strong, too weak or burnt. I find the only time coffee is good is within a minute of when it's brewed. The cup of coffee that I had here was absolutely delicious. It is without a doubt, the best cup of coffee I have ever had in a restaurant. Gee, a couple hundred words and I'm only through the beverage. The specials board that is just inside the door as you come in listed six or seven menu choices that of course we're not on the menu. At my age, I forget what they were by the time I get to the table anyway. I ordered from the menu their fried chicken dinner $14.50. That was probably the best decision that I have made this month. They had a unique way of serving it. Almost all the time you are served with the wing thigh a leg and half a breast I can see eating the wing and leg with your hand, but if you try to pick up half a breast and shove it in your mouth, well you're gonna make a mess to say the least. What they do is they cut the breast into three pieces? I'm not sure if I was in my short or not but I had about six pieces of chicken all about the same size. All of the pieces were of such a size that it encouraged you to pick them up and nibble on them, which is what I did I don't wanna go into too spicy not too sweet etc. etc. because that's pretty much a personal thing anyway, but the size of the pieces impress me with some thought being put into the serving. It came with the usual french fries except these wouldn't fit on my plate. If you're look at the picture carefully, you will note that she said a plate of french fries between my wife and I.next came a dinner plate piled with french fries followed by two pieces of bread cut on the diagonal that was toasted. I called the waitress over. I wanted to complement the meal was just fantastic. She said that the owners son was cooking tonight. There was a vegetable corn. I was happy to see that it wasn't corn that had been canned it obviously was frozen corn. My wife ordered turkey club sandwich that you can tell from the picture. It was a darn good turkey club. there was nothing in that club sandwich that was skimmed done at all Sand was so big. She brought home most of it and spent the rest of the night nibbling on her dinner. I'm not much of a dessert person so I passed when it came time for dessert. My wife, however, did go with the carrot cake again large enough that she couldn't finish and took it home. We had a wonderful lady as a waitress. She was bubbly, friendly, and just liked her job you could tell , the check came and amazingly dinner for two was $43 and change. Do I encourage you to get yourself down there for dinner some night I do indeed. Supposedly they are noted for their breakfast. Well if they're noted for their breakfast and they serve a dinner like I had, I hope the chairs have seat belts to hold you because the breakfast is must be amazing. If you decide to go, tell him, Dave sent you. They don't know who the hell I am, but it sounds cool.

I came here with a group of friends a little while ago and had a great experience. The first time I was there I also had a good time and meal, which prompts me to say that this place is consistent. So when we arrived we were seated immediately even though it was a Saturday afternoon. We had 6 people all together, some who arrived later, which ended up being no problem. Our waitress was excellent. She was so bubbly, personable, and understanding. She was kind enough to give me my entire bill for free when I found a small hair in my gyro. She was so apologetic that she even went on to say what a pleasure I had been the last time I was there. I only came here one time and that had been months ago! She's so incredibly good at her job, but I'm terrible and never asked for her name so that she gets credit for this. I really recommend it here. The food I had last time was yummy, so I can attest to that. I also think the service here is phenomenal, as do all of my friends who came with me. It's nice to see diners that are thriving that don't begin with a d and rhyme with "pennies." I would mention Waffle House too, but we don't have one of those. I hope everyone who is deciding on diner food these days in Buffalo come to this restaurant.
